Voltxcore is a global company that started as an online renewable energy solution in 2022. Since then, we have grown to offer a vast selection of renewable energy products, services, and technologies. The purpose of this role is to play a pivotal day to day operations to enable high quality of service from HR Department, in aligning human resources strategies with the overall business objectives of our organisation.


This role is responsible for the HR operations, ensuring recruiting and onboarding new employees, developing training programs, managing performance evaluations, developing talent acquisition strategies, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and enhancing employee engagement across all levels of the organization. Additionally, the HR Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and tracking employee hours, reporting and performance management, administration, training, time management, ensuring that labor practices are compliant and that performance metrics align with company goals.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:


• Be the leader in the hiring and onboarding process, manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including recruiting and onboarding new employees, developing training programs, employee relations, managing performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with labour laws, in the energy industry.


• Talent Acquisition and Retention. Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent across all entities.


• Write job descriptions and place job advertisements in various mediums. Collaborate with hiring managers to select potential candidates, conduct interviews and communicate offers of employment.


• Assist in the day-to-day administration.


• HR-related Daily Work. Staff files’ maintenance and all HR-related statistics and reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

• Office Management and Daily Administration. Ensure the office functions well; Manage office suppliers and contracts; Manage Company achieves.

• Organise meetings, draft and manage the meeting document. Data management and report to the Group; Participate in drafting Administration-related policies & procedures.


• Team activities and events; Reception and invoices; Other projects and works.


• Support communications and marketing activities for VOLTXCORE including but not limited to designing advertisements, brochures, social media and materials.


• Coordinate and schedule pre-employment screens with new hires; conduct and coordinate new hire orientations. Oversee the recruitment process to ensure high-quality candidates are selected.


• Culture and Employee Engagement. Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s mission and values.


• Employee Development and Training. Design and implement training programs to upskill employees and support career development.


• Develop a competitive employee value proposition to enhance retention and satisfaction.


• Develop leadership and talent development strategies to build internal capacity.


• Manage the full Talent Acquisition lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing candidates, resume screening, interviewing, and extending offers, coordination with the hiring manager and the hiring team regarding the interview process and follow-up; Final candidate’s background checks; Talents’ database management.


• Monitor and track employee hours to ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies. Oversee timekeeping systems and ensure accurate reporting of hours worked.

• Utilize HR data to drive decision-making and improve HR processes.


• Administer employee benefit plans including enrollments, terminations, and changes; communicates benefit information to employees.

• Manage annual employee performance appraisal process including communications with managers, reviewing and ensuring completion.


• Track employee performance metrics and work closely with management to address performance issues.


• Ensure that performance evaluations are conducted regularly and align with organizational objectives. Ensure all HR practices and policies support diversity and inclusion.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive people and culture strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Act as a strategic advisor to the senior leadership on all HR-related matters.

• Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.


• Setting up all New Hires into all online platforms such as ADP, Relias, Google Suite, ExtendedReach, etc. Develop consistent onboarding and employee lifecycle processes to enhance the employee experience.

• HR Team Development. Build, recruit, and manage a high-performing HR team to support the organization’s scaling needs. Provide guidance and support to management teams on HR-related matters. Monitor HR metrics and suggest improvements

• Define clear roles and responsibilities for HR team members as the company grows. Strategic HR Management, develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals.


• Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and other talent sources.


• Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.

• Facilitate communication between employees and management to promote a positive work environment. Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues.

• Coordinate with management to ensure training programs are delivered effectively.


• Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding professionally according to the Nigeria Labor Code and comply with all relevant reporting and records retention regulations and policies.


• Implement onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.


• Promote a culture of continuous feedback and recognition.


• Employee Relations: Cultivate a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts, and developing new and exciting ways to build an exceptional work culture.


• Coordinate employee training programs on various topics, such as diversity and inclusion.


• Supervise Benefits and HR Team. Oversee staff managing payroll and employee benefits programs. Oversee Payroll -Communicate policy matters and benefit information to Staff.


• Develop and update HR policies and procedures. Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy.


• Compliance and Legal. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.


• Participate in drafting different policies & processes and optimising HR-related processes.


• Provide advice and assistance to Management concerning selection, promotion, performance and policies issues

• Conduct regular salary surveys to benchmark against industry standards.


• Be current in HR Law and having best practice mindset for all policy and procedure

• Completing and updating job descriptions

• Be involved with training for staff on Human Resource issues.

• Analyze labor costs and suggest optimization strategies.


• HR Technology and Systems: Oversee the implementation and management of HR information systems (HRIS).


• Ensure completion of annual employee trainings within learning management system.

• Inform employees and enforce company policy and practices.

• Develop policy, direct and coordinate Human Resource activities, such as employment, compensation, benefits and employee relations




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Skills:


• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) is highly desirable.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR and Administration/Office Management, preferably within the energy industry.


• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Required)

• Expertise in standardizing HR processes and implementing scalable solutions.

• Proven track record in post-merger integrations and scaling HR operations.

• Exceptional leadership and change management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for creating a positive work environment.

• Strong Knowledge and understanding of current employment laws and regulations. In-depth knowledge of labor law, compliance and HR best practices

• Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.

• Hands-on, adaptable, and results-driven with excellent interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Willing to travel to every location when required.

• Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.

• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe.

• Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

• Familiarity with contract management processes.
